Mercedes 170S

Verkocht / Sold

This Mercedes 170S, type W136 040 was produced in 1952 and was subsequently exported into the Netherlands in July 2004. Orignally the car was equipped with a diesel engine and was converted to petrol during the restoration in 2001.

The engine has now  1767cc and delivers a top speed of 122 km/h. This particular car was restored in 2001 to an incredibly high standard. The 2-tone blue, the soft blue velvet interior suit the car very well. The high gloss finished wood provides a nice contrast with the rich blue tones. The white steering wheel and the sumptuous dashboard make this car luxurious to say the least.

The car drives very well due its high standard restoration, not only to the interior and exterior, but to the mechanics as well. The car has new white wheels and a brand new windscreen. Nothing was too good for this car.

An interesting detail is that the car was owned by a 12 year old boy who fell in love with it and wanted to cruise Europe when he reached 18. When he got his drivers license he realized that this car was probably not the right car to do this with and he decided to put it up for sale.
